Chev called out Hagan, specifically, on Twitter giving him props for closing. Nice to see a high caliber recruit committing due to other staff members than Chev.Hagan was his primary recruiter. Good work by him.
This signing seems similar to the Broncos finding a couple of unsung SEC LB'ers in Woodyard and Trevathan. Both were overlooked due to concerns over their size, but they both led the top conference in the country in tackles and it translated to the NFL. In Callier's case, I don't think he has the length some programs were looking for, but he uses his hands well, has the short area burst and has dominated at the highest levels of competition. That should translate. When you've got the #1 defense in the Pac-12, it makes sense that someone from CA averaging a sack a game in the best HS league in the nation (for the nation's #4 ranked HS team) chooses to play for you. Good choice by Jacob. He'll terrorize Pac-12 QBs in this system.
