And the first 3 games aren't going to do much for us moving up. Best case to enter the polls will be after we beat UW

Yep. We'll see teams drop out, but others jump in. For example, the winner of the aTm @ UCLA game is going above CU and has a good shot of getting ranked.
 
Ill worry about the polls when it matters. I think it was SI in 97 picking us to win the whole damn thing, think we didn't even finish .500.
 
First poll of the season is usually a reputation poll. Nobody has a real clue about who are the best teams.

We have another solid season and end up ranked and we can expect to be in the early polls in future seasons.
