'20 AZ WR Brenden Rice (SIGNED to COLORADO)

2 takeaways:

* Concerning he said he came here as a joke.
*MT and DC can flat out recruit and have truly changed the entire outlook from inside and outside in 1 year. Awesome.
I think that’s at least a small part of the mindset a lot of highly recruited players have when making a trip to CU. Obviously Tucker and Chev change that real quick once the kids arrive, but the only thing thats going to change that initial mentality is winning.

I don’t find that concerning. The visit changed his view.
wasn't something similar to this when Big Al came to Boulder on his recruiting trip?
If I remember him telling the story he was totally blown away with Boulder and Coach Mac. The facilities were terrible at this time.

I didn’t think I’d get quoted 3 times on that lol. All I meant was that I found it concerning he said he was coming here as a “joke” or basically a wasted visit. When I say concerning I was referring to how far the view of Colorado has fallen if recruits say, “I’d never commit there but I like free visits.” As opposed to, “Hey, you never know, maybe I’ll like it there.”

I was using the first point as an emphasis to the 2nd point. The 2nd point was a compliment to the staff to quickly turn that mindset around. Changing us from a “never” to a “let’s see what its all about up there.”

Nah. It’s a positive that he took his visit here because, despite not considering CU as a school he wanted to play for, Colorado is such an awesome place.

Hey! You can’t take back what you said Mr. Negative Ned!! :ROFLMAO:

Nice. I forget who it was, but there is someone that is/was on allbuffs that lived in my room in libby like 15 years prior to me.

Did you know anyone in the pit?
I knew a couple of folks down there but it’s been a while. I mostly remember Libby late night and crushing hot pockets.
