'20 TX QB Brendon Lewis (SIGNED to COLORADO)

Why? I would say everyone should give a little patience as the roster changes and guys develop within a new culture. If Lewis starts next year, we should remind ourselves that we have a true freshman at QB, and he'll need some time to grow. But don't temper your expectations. Things really appear to be different with MT. His target is to win a NC, so our expectations should be BIG.

I hope Brendon wins 3 Heisman's!

Melissa finished 9-4 currently ranked #10 in Div 4A-1 2 of their losses were to the #2 Argyle & #3 La Vega (Waco & defending champion) Lost last weekend in the playoffs to La Vega on a no time remaining field goal 45-42.

Worst part is Melissa was up 20-0. Same team knocked them out of the playoffs last year too 68-21.

Waiting for my flight and just watched the 20+ minutes of highlights from his junior year. Impressed with his ability to make plays with his feet and also keep them alive. Looking forward to seeing a dual threat QB in the coming years.

People shouldn't take this signing for granted just because Lewis was loyal and uncontroversial throughout. He would've been more than justified to keep playing the recruiting game and have us sweating this one. Certainly the type and level of QB commit I always hoped for but didn't think was realistic so soon and he's handled the process like a true leader long before taking the field. Which... hopefully we won't be waiting too long.
