2010 Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Nebraska secured verbal #14:

DE Tobi Okuyemi, MN (Rivals 3*, Scout 3*, ESPN 3*)

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Nebraska's 15th pledge is another defensive lineman:

DT Jake Cotton, NE (Rivals NR, Scout NR, ESPN NR)

Jake's dad is the o-line coach at Nebraska and his brother is a RS-Freshman TE.

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

NU's defensive line class is really good. We need to be signing numbers like that every single year.

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Colorado is now up to 12 commitments for 2010.

The following prospects all pledged following a visit for the Texas A&M game:

LA WR Keenan Canty (Rivals NR, Scout NR, ESPN NR)
LA QB Munchie Legaux (Rivals 3*, Scout 4*, ESPN 3*)
OH TE Justin Favors (Rivals 2*, Scout NR, ESPN 3*)
CA CB Jered Bell (Rivals 3*, Scout 2*, ESPN NR)
CA WR Donnie Duncan (Rivals 3*, Scout NR, ESPN NR)

There may be more announcements this week.

Nebraska now has 16 verbals:

TE Chase Harper (JUCO), TX (Rivals 4*, Scout 3*, ESPN NR)

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Oklahoma State picked up its 25th commitment by poaching a verbal from Rice:

OL Eli Dickerson, TX (Rivals 3*, Scout NR, ESPN NR)

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

In the wake of the Mangino resignation, Kansas has had the first of its commitments decide to open things up and look at his other options:

OL Zach Bolton, TX (Rivals 3*, Scout 3*, ESPN 3*)

You develop a guy like Suh and have Pelini's pedigree and you have a recipe for recruiting studs on the DL (I know Suh was a Cally recruit, but still). If Hawk can develop Solder into a top 3 pick--which he CAN be--if he stays around he should have his pick at top OTs next year.

 Hawk can also take some of the credit for Ryan Clady, a 2* recruit that Hawk started as a RS-Freshman at Boise. He's already one of the better LTs in the NFL at only 23 years old and was a 1st round draft pick.

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

How many DL have given their verbal to CU? Nebraska has what 6-7 dl?

So far just Chidera Uzo-Diribe, a DE. It wouldn't surprise me if we wanted 2 more DEs and 2 DTs.

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Baylor picked up its 14th pledge, a JUCO RB who was once committed to Memphis:

RB Isaac Williams (JC), CA (Rivals 3*, Scout 2*, ESPN NR)

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Nebraska has had LA ATH (probably WR) Curtis Carter de-commit.

Probably going to be TCU or Missouri now. Carter is rated Rivals 4*, Scout 2*, ESPN 3*.

Re: Big 12 Commitment Tracker

Nebraska lost another commitment today:

QB Tyler Gabbert, MO (Rivals 4*, Scout 3*, ESPN 3*)

He's visiting Mizzou along with Curtis Carter, the ATH/WR who also de-committed from the Nubs this week. Both are expected to become Missouri commits. Tyler's brother is the current starting quarterback at MU.
