2016 Basketball Attrition Thread (was Fletch and Guzo leaving)

You can. You did. Anyone know if Oregon or Baylor still have room?

In other news from Illini basketball, Jaylen Tate was exonnerated on his domestic charge last week, and reinstated. Also last week - power forward Leron Black pled down an assault charge (pulled a knife on a bar bouncer) down to a misdemeanor and received a 4 game suspension.

Does their coach have ties to ****Baylor? Sounds like a pattern.

Nope. Came from ohio st via Ohio U. They lost another player last fall - Darrius Paul. They were on a Euro trip when Paul got very drunk and murdered a Ferrari with a pile of bricks.

They're about to be taken down under the RICO Act.

Tre'Shaun Fletcher's per game averages at Toledo so far this year: 19 points, 46% shooting, 9 rebounds, 4 assists. In games at Kansas and at Syracuse he combined for 31 points, 50% shooting, 17 rebounds and 6 assists.

Nice to see he's doing well. There wasn't much playing time to go around last year, but too bad he couldn't have taken a redshirt season and then been a go-to player on this years team. He had to sit out to transfer anyways.

Got to start wondering if the issues of the Fletch-JHop-Dustin-King class and attrition had little to do with missing on players and everything to do with the vet leadership issues we saw with Ski, XJ and Wes.

Could very well be. I know the reports their freshman year had JHop as one of the guys who was the hardest worker out there.

Hard to argue that Jhop, Dustin and Fletch aren't legit D1 players, so I think you're on to something.

Dustin's footwork was clinical in the post and highpost, but they're simply too slow for him to play the spot he is best suited for, which is a perimeter oriented SF that can backdown smaller SFs. That and he's proven now that he's a practice shooter only, can't hit contested shots.

Jaron is a guy who is now at the perfect level. He's allowed to do kinda whatever he wants, out athletes people, and doesn't need to shoot the ball. He still turns it over a lot and is wildly inconsistent.
