2017 Football Schedule

That non conference strength of schedule is going to be a real anchor on our playoff chances when we're sitting at 11-1 before the Pac-12 championship game.

My thoughts exactly.

Get ready for whining from the Big 12!

Prob Win: CSU, TSU, UNC
Prob Losses: UW, USC
Who knows: All others (go 4-3)

Final record: 7-5.

Gut pick: 9-3.

6 or 7 wins. I just want the team to go bowling again in a down year after losing so many guys. The offense is going to be good, but winning on the road is all too important and that's tough to do without a ridiculously good defense week in and week out.

I'd go with 7 wins as well. Need the offense to carry the defense for awhile as they gel with so many new starters and coaches. If the offense can be even better than we hope, and the defense improves as the season goes along, who knows? Injuries are always the wildcard.

uw should tell us a lot about where we are next season. obviously, we should be at 3-0 headed into it, and we probably won't be ranked or maybe just barely in the top 25. uw will be in the top 20 assuming they don't get upset before we play them. that would be a good statement win for us. i really want that usc win, of course.

Obviously it's early, but if I had to guess, we'll probably be expected to win 6 games and lose 6 games. However, I think these players will want to build on last year's success, so I'm predicting a 7-5 regular season.

I think that CU fans are taking CSU way too lightly for 2017. They're going to have one of their best, most veteran teams in a long time.

CSU has a garbage defense and they are losing some quality lineman. Not worried, Oliver will be fine guarding their best offensive play maker.

UW on the other hand might be better than they were this year and CU will likely be around 23 with 3 garbage wins in the OOC.

Idaho put 61 on CSU in their bowl game.. so... gonna go with our offense better dominate since we lose like 1 starter?

Please don't use bowl performance as a gauge, very unreliable. CSU held Boise State to 28 in Boise. The bottom line is that CSU had a poor defense, with a lot of youth. But not 61 points to Idaho poor!

Yeah, anyone who watched their progression last year should know that they will be much improved next year.

I don't see us holding them to such a low amount of points next year. I also don't see how our offense doesn't absolutely murder their defense. I think our offense will be firing straight out of the gate similar to last year, and I don't think they can match us score for score.

I think CSU will be better next year, and that we will probably backslide some.

But remember the gulf that separated these two teams last August.

They could get a lot better, we could get worse, and we still should win comfortably.

It's not a coincidence that the CSU offense puts up numbers down the stretch every year. The mountain west is garbage and specifically the defenses are terrible.

All I heard last year is that CU should never concern themselves with CSU and should always win 55-10, yet here we are in full offseason mode talking about how CSU is going to be tougher than people think. JFC people, act as if

If our Dline is reasonably stout against the run and we can get a bit of pressure without blitzing we should be fine vs the ewes. Will be closer than last year if course. Being the first game of the year and their Super Bowl is always the wildcard.
