2017 NFL Draft early entries

bloom is off the rose IMO over at Stanford. I see them being able to compete as 7-5 ,8-4 teams. Don't really see them much higher ceiling than an Iowa with David Shaw at HC.

They were 9-3 and finished the (regular) season with a 5 game winning streak. Average score 40-18.

I was a long time Shaw detractor. That didn't work out very well. After six seasons it is safe to say that the dude has it going on.
I keep waiting for that drop off I have been expecting. It just doesn't seem to be coming minus that short stretch this year when they had multiple injuries.

Wow. The NFL trying to earn some brownie points with the public by taking a hardline stance here? Passing on one of the more talented players in the draft would certainly suggest it.

All while the league itself celebrates Tyree Hill. Give me a ****ing break.

The reason Ray Rice hasn't played since the Ravens dumped him is NOT that he punched his wife in an Atlantic City elevator, but rather that he later on shared texts between him and Bisciotti with ESPN.

He must not be rated all that high.

Wonder how many of those guys are on the list because they haven't done the work to stay eligible for another year like the RB out of CSU recently. Dee Hart went undrafted, cut in camp, out of football with no degree.

Wasn't he the dude that elected to smoke weed instead of play football? Either way, CSU had better young guys from Georgia.

He went to Bama as a 5* recruit, had some issues with knee injuries
He had a possession charge at Alabama which gave them and excuse to push him out the door although looking it up he did get a degree there.

Rushed for 1200 yards at CSU but multiple sources say that he wasn't much for doing the school thing while he was there. Didn't have a choice but to declare because he wouldn't have been eligible had he come back. If he had come back he was better than the younger guys they had.

That's the dark side to all this and something folks should keep in mind when they're so quick to say that players should skip bowl games, leave school early and go get paid. This isn't the NBA with guaranteed contracts. NFL careers, even if you make a team, only last for about 4 years. The vast majority of guys don't finish their careers financially set for life. And the number of guys who then return to college to finish their degree is about zero. Pretty much if the don't go into coaching and finish it up as part of being a non-assistant staff member to start their careers, they don't ever graduate.

Which is a big selling point in the living room for us on home visits right now. Our guys are graduating on time or early. Pretty much ALL of them. The numbers are amazing. No bogus Nub academic programs. Kids are actually bettering themselves and preparing for their future.

I hope Denver can get Foreman from Texas, dude is a freaking beast.
Actually really like Hill from WY. Runs with purpose.

Both are good but Foreman has looked like a man among boys against the best teams Texas has played.

That said I don't want them spending to high a draft choice on any RB. High round RBs have not correlated well to playoff success in recent years, better to use those picks on players who have more impact and get a RB late or as a FA.

He's got decent hands too in the games I've seen. The rest is pretty obvious. The thing I like the most is, he's one those guys you don't wanna tackle for 4 quarters. You'll feel it more than he will. That'll wear ya down.
