hate the idea of keeping any of the freshman off the court...but does Battey make sense? in theory, he'll be sharing playing time with Tory, Lucas, Dallas, Bey, and Strating

We're gonna need Battey. Not sure we can rely on Tory and Walton by themselves for an entire season.

Reminds me of when Wes Gordon sat out. Huge surprise and we could’ve used him at times. If anyone other than Niko gets the RS then I’d have to imagine it’s because of their ability to handle school/new lifestyle more than ball.

Niko makes the most sense as he only turned 18 in late June on top of the obvious struggles of coming in late as a foreigner.

Battey makes the 2nd most sense because he had to repeat the 9th grade. He didn’t play HS ball last year because of that. It could be good for him to focus on rebuilding his body.

Ariana Freeman is, frankly, great. Energy and knowledge.

Freeman did this for the women's team when she had to sit out when she transferred. She is going to do well in broadcast journalism.

Would be nice. He's got quite a personality.

Also, Battey has been given the green light to shoot 3s.
