Sumlin IS lost without Keenum or Manziel on his roster.
Nah. Frost like Kelly at NU will have a mulligan for this year.
Ouch.
Frost will get at least a couple years of honeymoon because of how bad they have been and his husker bloodline.
Eventually though the unrealistic expectations will bring him down. kNU fans think they are one of the elite programs and expect those kinds of results. It isn't going to happen with them continuing to get beat up in the B1G and no longer being a prime destination for recruits.
Looks like Martinez is gonna be real good. I think Nebraska's future is bright.
Martinez could be very good, as long as he is on the field. I see a guy who isn't going to be healthy a lot.
I also see a team that is going to continue to get run over by the talent of the top teams in the B1G. Nebraska could get much better and still not be in the top 5 or 6 in the conference. Eventually their fans will get frustrated and they will go look for the next miracle coach.

As long as 1 of those 3 losses is to the Buffs I'm on board with that.
There is a range of info out there on exactly how much money Paul Johnson would be owed if fired. He got an extension through 2022 earlier this year while his contract through 2020 only had a $2 million buyout. You get the sense his tenure has run its course because it is looking like a losing season for the third time in four years.

Agree. Satterfield likely to get local look too.
USC, Georgia tech, North Carolina, Texas tech, Kansas look like they will all be open by the end of the season and that is before potential nfl poaching. It could get a little crazy if guys like Peterson, Shaw, Franklin, harbaugh decide they want to try it out in the pros.
Yes, but $21m buyout just for Taggart probably saves his job.
Wasn’t really talking about us, just that these things somehow get crazy every year no matter how calm it appears before.

I'd have rather seen us put him a little closer to Eliot after LY in terms of salary, and I would think he'd get offered a pretty substantial raise to stay-Not only that, but Chev's kid is on the team. I don't see him leaving.
Quick google search says around 6m, give or a take a million.

I just see no reason to wait to upgrade this staff. Loyalty will get you beat.
Definitely a possibility, I just always saw him at that guy who shouldn’t have got then job in the first place who would sort of weather the scholarship storm they had there while bringing in some talent since he was such a good recruiter. Now that things are stabilized they can bring in someone more qualified, especially with a new as there.
