2018-2019 Uniform Thread

It may not be real, and I am a serious traditionalist, but it would be neat to see our GRAY uniform become more of a Silver uniform with trendy fabrics and designs, because the Gray uniform looks Pink when the boys sweat! I would be thrilled to see 11 traditional games this year, with maybe 1 different uniform choice on like Homecoming. It would be cool to have the captains tell the team they are going Traditional all year because they want to earn the right to wear mix and match stuff, and last years 5-7 did not cut it!

Yeah, a Raiders silver would look much better for the helmets and pants. I think they went with the gray because you can't really do a decent looking silver jersey to match. I'd be fine with losing the silver/gray jerseys as an option if it meant true silver helmets and pants with more sparkle. I think we'll be sticking with the options we have for awhile, though.

That's actually my beef with the current black helmets. The helmet is matte, but the sticker is glossy with a gold outline to make the black buff pop instead of blending in. It is obviously a sticker slapped on the helmet.

See, I think even that picture is of a stock helmet that they slapped a sticker on for the photo specifically. The actual game day helmets don't look nearly that bad.

That looks better. It is the newer concussion sorta-kinda prevention helmets that have grooves to the side that I am not a fan of with the black helmet. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the gold helmets, just the black ones.

Nah, I agree with Highlander, and I've noticed it myself. The sticker is a high gloss while the helmet is matte or semi-matte, and the effect is such that it just looks like a cheap sticker, like one of those little **** collectible helmets you can buy.

Not sure what to tell you. The picture I posted is from this past season and looks pretty good to me.
 
Part of it is also thatnits just so clearly a sticker. On our gold helmets, the gold CU isn’t colored sticker but rather see-through, letting the gold coke through. I personally think the black helmets would look a lot better with a gold buffalo and cutout/ see through black CU.

Anyways, that’s just like, my opinion, man.
