Sorry for cross-posting this tweet in (now) 3 different places, but felt it justified since it obviously also affects the beginning of the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons, which now won't be starting until (at earliest) January 1st.
If he doesn't go pro can't he come back for one more year with the new Covid rules?Disappointing but not unexpected. I wish we could have McKinley play that game.
He's already said this is his last year as a buff. I feel like the Covid rules will help more with injured players or mid major players trying to transfer into bigger programs. I doubt we actually see players play more than 4 years at major programs. Especially since it's not like roster sizes will be bloated. There will still only be 13 spots any given year. Not to mention McKinley can already make a living abroad, he's just trying to make himself more appealing to NBA teams. If he can't sneak himself into the second round after this year, I doubt an extra year will make him look anymore appealing to NBA teams. If he doesn't go pro can't he come back for one more year with the new Covid rules?

So, everybody will be a bubble team this year?
No. Gatling, Bey, and Siewert are fairly significant losses, plus with the way we finished the season. So we start the season unranked. Is that surprising?
Latter 2 are very significant. Gatling was so erratic but he did space the floor. We will miss that I think. The bball peeps are very excited about our redshirt guardNo. Gatling, Bey, and Siewert are fairly significant losses, plus with the way we finished the season.
