Oh hell yeah.
Oh hell yeah.
This is amazing
Amazing and awesome news!
Is Lesley Smith (incumbent) retiring as Regent? She retired from being a professor in 2018 (30 years), so it seems reasonable that she's hanging it up at this point.
Okay.
Especially when it's a candidate like CJ who has current media experience and brings significant corporate relationships like Ball Aerospace. I'd vote for him even if I put athletics to the side.Okay.
Every time there is a viable, pro-athletics candidate I beat this drum, and I'm going to do it again:
BY FAR THE MOST IMPACTFUL donation you can make to help CU athletics this year is to donate to his campaign. Having a pro-athletics board of regents is much, much more valuable than having another couple hundred (or thousand) in the AD's endowment.
If you can afford to donate $50 or $500, the place where it will ultimately make the biggest impact is to give to CJ's campaign fund.
Be strategic with your giving, and give where it make the biggest difference. For the next 12 months, that means to CJ's (and any other pro-athletics regent candidate's campaign).
So awesome! CJ is the man!
Oh hell yes
I've known CJ a bit since he was at CU (I was in HS with the brother he brought with him). One of the most impressive people I've ever been around.Especially when it's a candidate like CJ who has current media experience and brings significant corporate relationships like Ball Aerospace. I'd vote for him even if I put athletics to the side.
Looks like Smith is planning to run for a state House seat (district 49, which includes part of Boulder), so not hanging it up altogether but opening up that at-large Regent seat next year.Is Lesley Smith (incumbent) retiring as Regent? Unfortunately, there are plenty of, well you know.I have to think CJ cruises.
The only people not likely to vote for him are going to be, well you know.
That was the night I stopped posting on 24/7. 15 echo chambers idots yelling at me because she didn't respond to somebody tweeting at her, so she must hate athletics. So tired of Wanda James anti-athletics stances…
Name the names so we can mock themShe just confirmed what many of us suspected that there was a subset of Regents actively working against the interests of the athletic department. It’s no small miracle that we still have an athletic department at all. **** these assholes. I’m looking at you, Jack ****ing Kroll.
Look at the ones who have left in the last 2-4 years.Name the names so we can mock them
He was right about one thing. There won't be another dissenting voice going forward. At least, not for awhile.Imagine being this terrible at your job.
Why this Colorado regent voted against approving the contract of new football coach Deion Sanders
The vote to approve coach Deion Sanders' contract at Colorado wasn't unanimous among university regents. Here is why.www.usatoday.com
That's the voice and reason of a guy who has no vision or business sense and likely wanted to use his platform as a way to win points among the Shoemaker-type constituents.Imagine being this terrible at your job.

I know who there are. I just want them called out by name publicly so that everybody see that they are idots.Look at the ones who have left in the last 2-4 years.
There's your answer.
Story was Kroll wanted to use the Regents job as a stepping stone into higher political office. Instead he has built a record and reputation that will be hard to overcome. If there’s a silver lining in the Jack Kroll idiocy, it’s that he has been exposed as a complete fraud. A total moron. He’d be an easy opponent for anybody he ever decides to run against. “Ladies and gentlemen, do you want to cast your vote for a guy who would have run off Deion Sanders?”
Thanks for paraphrasing what Not Sure just said.Story was Kroll wanted to use the Regents job as a stepping stone into higher political office. Instead he has built a record and reputation that will be hard to overcome.
