Such Debbie Downers in this thread. Not everyone thinks we will be terrible.
You’ve discovered why sportsbooks don’t pay on actual odds. They make money on futures.I'll take those odds and lay 10 bucks against a 10k payout if anyone is offering.
That's how much faith I have. That's money I could risk with similar confidence and a much higher potential return on lottery tickets.
Go Buffs! Rock on, KD!
Until Leister City comes around and ****s them into the ground. You’ve discovered why sportsbooks don’t pay on actual odds. They make money on futures.
Leicester City were much longer than 5000:1 even though that was the price most shops offered as a default. The folks who bet that number for size had some dubious connections to EPL referees.Until Leister City comes around and ****s them into the ground.
Adding to the recruiting infrastructure and publicly talking about a strategy to focus on TX and CA is encouraging. It’s the little winsGood hire. Still boggles my mind Chandler Dorrell is the Director of Player Personnel
Yep.Adding to the recruiting infrastructure and publicly talking about a strategy to focus on TX and CA is encouraging. It’s the little wins
Why? Nevermind the posts above were down before mine came up.Good hire. Still boggles my mind Chandler Dorrell is the Director of Player Personnel
I think Karl Dorrell is mostly blah. His sideline demeanor has rubbed me the wrong way, his recruiting results have been meh (although not significantly different from prior coaches) and his gameday coaching is fairly mediocre.Yep.
It's so damn hard to accept positive news for what it is and not start bitching about past mistakes and what's still broken, though. I don't blame people for it any more.
He brings scandal-free stability, doesn't alienate any donor group, and probably delivers vanilla mediocrity on the field.I think Karl Dorrell is mostly blah. That said, as a fan who will never stop supporting CU, I can look objectively at the circumstances over the past two seasons and believe that with Chev gone, (hopefully) a lesson learned from hiring a coach like Rod, and the new staff hires, that he and RG have learned to adapt and do in fact have some kind of plan. We’ll see
A lot of positive reaction on Twitter from recruits, players and recruiting media to a new hire to the staff
USC fans weren't pumped to see him go, it appears, so that's nice.Wow. I am actually surprised CU was able to reel in Hawkins. Dorrell has impressed me with his hires this year. We'll see how that translates
There is a lot of movement on twitter about CU picking him up from high level recruits. I've never seen that in this age of social media with a CU coach/football staff member.USC fans weren't pumped to see him go, it appears, so that's nice.
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I'd say this is really KD's first year as HC in Boulder. He brings scandal-free stability, doesn't alienate any donor group, and probably delivers vanilla mediocrity on the field.
I can live with that as a re-set if he wins 6+. But you can't be bad and boring if you want to be marketable.

You’re really trying to Herschel Walker every thread, huh? Talent!ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I'd say this is really KD's first year as HC in Boulder.
A thrown-together staff (of others' leavings), followed by COVID, followed by the overly jealous and disasterous reign of Chiv as OC (still believe he was not only incompetent as OC and WR coach, as well as head recruiter, but actively tried to subvert KD in order for a shot at HC).
He could be starting QB over Payton Manning. So be thankful. It wouldnt be CU without a father son connectionGood hire. Still boggles my mind Chandler Dorrell is the Director of Player Personnel
Good Lord...ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I'd say this is really KD's first year as HC in Boulder.
