The thing people forget about the 2020 season is we beat 3 teams from California that had to deal with much tougher covid restrictions, and an Arizona team that quit under Sumlin. Whoopty doo

Meh. You are what your record says you are. There's little logic or point in discounting wins, but some of you spend a lot of time doing it.
That said, 4-8 is a bad record and it doesn't appear we improved much. KD is on record saying he expects 7 wins, so Manhattan better be ready to pay him those Saban bucks.
They were also leading against Utah at half time in 2020. Landman got hurt and the defense fell apart. Discounting wins, but emphasizing losses “got their brains beat in” is an AllBuffs tradition.
At media days he said “I expect us to win more than we did last year”, hence my “5 wins no excuses” comment a few pages ago. But yeah, his video today said win more than they lose. He really should have stuck with the first one.
The Parcells record maxim is true in nearly all times, except for times of global pandemic and shattered season prep.
KD is also delusional, so him expecting 7 wins seems par for the course.

Yeah...will never forget Joel's tone during the Utah game when he saw Nate's injury on the replay.....****ing heartbreaking. Joel knew the game was over at the point.
They lost to Utah by 17 and Texas by 32. I guess that doesn’t qualify as getting their brains beat in your world. Losing Landman was big, but the offense doing nothing for 95% of the second half was also a significant factor in the game’s final score.
I think context is really important in evaluating anomalous events in sports. Your implication that we ought to treat deviations as the norm is bizarre.
My attention span is negative at this point. Meaning I'm not bothering to watch.
If they win 2 of their first 3, then maybe I'll start paying attention again. But right now, much to my wife's happiness, my fall saturdays are looking pretty busy with things other than CU football.
Dorrell went into fall camp thinking 5 wins and after the first day of practice he bumped that up to 7. I figure by the end of camp they’ll be undefeated and in the playoffs. Progress!

I get a week for muzzleloader and a week for 2nd season rifle. So thats Air Force and ASU on the radio, then dove season rolls into pheasants, so I will find many excuses to miss games this year.

Listening to the PAC 12 field reporter give an interview yesterday. She claimed Dorrell said our transfers were “addition by subtraction”. Did he really say that? We lose most of the production on offense, but they were all cancer in the locker room as they produced more than everyone else?
I understand BYU donors are covering tuition and fees for any non scholarship kid on the team under NIL. So, anyone on the roster is covered. Freaking awesome for those boys.
