Hoping that Pry would be willing to come to Boulder as a re-set during the buyout payment period to be a defensive analyst focused on our LBs. He was nails as DC/LB at Penn State before getting the HC gig at VT.

Not shocked by either firing. UCLA had to make a move after that ****-show Friday night. VT too-you don't survive losing to G6 teams by 3-4 scores.

Fair for the players, no tears for them but man that is going to devastate a program like UCLA. How will they even be able to finish the season if they immediately lose much of the team.

Next game for UCLA is at Northwestern after the bye. They have to hope for the dead cat bounce because after that game starting with Penn State their remaining opponents are a combined 23-0. I don't see a Cal on the schedule to save them from going winless.

Ucla is on the quarter system IIRC and I dont think they have started classes yet. That wouldn't help them unless they transfer to a school with a similar calendar, but….

Had he even coached before? Just because you were a great player doesn't mean it's going to translate to coaching.

I really like Freeman, but now I kind of want to see him go through the FSU/Norvell cycle, with a 2-10 season.

Could be wrong, but I believe they can “transfer” but finish out the current semester or quarter so they will officially be at the new school for start of next quarter/semester

I'm pretty sure you are right. They can't go play for someone else this season, but they can enter the portal and not have this season count towards their eligibility clocks.
