Camp surprises; what you all got?

Here's mine: Sincere Brown becomes the outside receiver opposite Omarion Miller.
That's a good take, not necessarily a surprise, IMO. Brown is a freak athlete who finally put it together for production last year, albeit at a lower level. You don't see many 6'5" 190 lb guys taking a bubble screen to the house.

I don't even have a surprise in my mind from a position battle standpoint. One guy I really want to see step up and take over his position is Quincey Wiggins. Outside of Seaton, he probably has the most NFL potential on this 2025 team but hasn't been able to put the mental side of things together. This has to be the year for that to happen and if it does, I think CU's defense is going to be unreal.

I want to how much Drelon Miller can do, he is a freak athlete and so versatile. He put on some pounds and muscle. As a soph, I really think he will be dynamic throughout the entire season. I hope the O scheme can get him into the open field, and he can just take it to the house.

On D, I want to see if Keaton Wade and Walker can pick up where they left off, minus Wade's late season injury. Also, I want to see the push from the interior D-Line. Q. Wiggins will be a welcome be part of this wrecking crew.

Yeah, it wasn't the hottest take. I reflected a bit after posting whether it would be a surprise if Brown becomes the Outside receiver. I had been assuming the general expectation would be Joseph Williams, but maybe I am wrong in that assumption. Quency Wiggins looks like a true SEC Dlineman, I would love to see it translate to the field!

I think Joseph Williams will definitely see time but he's a younger guy and I think there will be some deference to Brown only having one year left unless and until JW proves to be better. I also think people are sleeping on Hykeem Williams. Flashed his potential at FSU and is probably the most physically gifted WR on the roster. If there is a dark horse candidate for that outside position opposite O Miller, I think it could be him.

The TD Dre’lon had last year against Utah where he dragged about four different guys on his way to the end zone is one of my favorites from the last few years. Just an unreal show of strength from a freshman.

So when does practice start?

When do we get an updated roster?

When do we get to ooh and ahh over pics of our new arrivals at practice?

We need practice and weight room photos so we can debate whether we've got the large calves and high butts of a winner!
Interestingly, my former brother in law was a D2 safety, and I used to joke that the man’s ass was half way up back.

He had an 11th hour offer come through from Troy State, but he’d already signed his paperwork and enrolled in classes at the D2 school.
