2025 NCAA Tournament Games Thread

I don’t want to harp on this ref thing, but does anyone see such a sharp difference in Houston’s play between the first and second halves that would explain 3 fouls being called on them in the first and 15 in the second?

Ok , the final four games were better than the rest of the tournament, but really just on par with most final fours. Thus the overall tournament is a complete flop. Houston really had some ugly offense in the final two minutes.

Yes and I already mentioned this shvt, just be consistent. Oh and Houston, you'll never live that one down either.

Absolute garbage sets run by Houston the last two minutes.

Terrible coaching down the stretch
It seemed like the last eight minutes Florida ran the same defense and Houston never figured out how to attack it. They needed to get the ball to Roberts at the free throw line and then run action off that. A high screen and roll with Roberts and a bounce pass to him would have broken Florida's extended pressure time and again.

Having Cryer and Sharp drive into the teeth of the defense with no cutters and no posted up shooters was driving me crazy.

Sampson has never impressed me as an in game coach. He recruits well and his teams play stifling defense but he didn't make adjustments well when it mattered.

He's been to 3 final fours but this is the closest he has come to winning it all. He just can't seem to get his team all the way.

Houston just choked, period. They were up by 12. It's kind of the the same thing Duke did against them.
A couple rounds later, but almost the same script we saw with TTU's exit - came back in a game that you'd almost never win and then followed it by blowing a game you'd almost never lose. Because sports.

Good way to put it. It does happen when your butthole puckers up like that. I guess that was only part of it, but it definitely happened.
