I do think it is a bit early to retire his number but I also think that without even considering the link to his father as coach he deserves the consideration.
He did win the Unitas, he was also 1st team all conference and the B12 offensive player of the year.

In two years at CU (for those talking Bo Nix he only spent one at Oregon) Shedeur has planted himself at or near the top in every significant statistical catagory for both single season and career.
I do recognize the importance of him and his brother being here in CU having their dad as our coach. Prime likes money but he's got plenty of it, he's coaching because it is what he wants to do. It is unfair though to think of Shedeur and his dad as a single unit. Had his dad decided to just be his kid's dad and not coach (still providing guidance and connections) I think it would be fair to expect that we would still be seeing Shedeur listed as one of if not the top QB going into this draft.
I was young but I got to see Bobby Anderson play at CU.
It's worth keeping in mind that in those days a college QB was more often an additional RB in the backfield who occassionaly threw the football. Most college programs were considered wide-open if they threw the ball 20 times a game and many had passing schemes that would look simple compared to what many high schools run now. Bobby as a QB was mostly a runner who to direct snaps from the center. He was a great athlete though.
