Agree 100%. But the problem is they have NOTHING really to offer a recruit right now. Bottom of barrel G5 program with no NIL resources. In some ways it's very similar to where we were just at, but ultimately worse. Makes me even more thankful of what CU was just able to pull off.
Is it, though? I disagree, but this sparks a different discussion re: the validity of a 3-star rating. I challenge you to find anything truly 3 star worthy in the film of 3/4 of their current commits.Their prep recruiting is actually going quite well.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned here or on 247, but the idea that CSU will now start getting the JVDs, Joe Davis, Dante Sparaco, Chase Penry, Hank Zilinskas and Andrew Metzgers, Ty Robinson, Grant Page, etc of the world because CU is swimming in a larger pond now, should help them get back to a competitive level in the MWC.Just to start...
1) I like Norvell, but evidently he didn't capture and engage the players like many thought he would.
2) There was "disconnect" between Norvell's players and players currently in the program (not all bad, I guess)
3) Norvell didn't realize the player apathy and truly dismal level of talent present to the point they had coaches basically going dorm to dorm and conducting tryouts ala "Necessary Roughness"
4) The student body truly hates the team and it's only getting worse.
5) A good portion of donors have completely checked out and the school doesn't have the desire nor resources to pull them back in. I was stuck in 2-3 business meetings this fall where the entire conversation among dudes with big pull up there became remembrances of the Sonny Lubick days and lamentations that they'll never win again no matter what they do.
Fixed. You think about 50% of coaches suck and about 30% of players suck, so your rating system probably differs quite a bit from mine.
This is spot on. But, it won't be so easy to get those types of guys anymore. The perception is that Wyoming is a much better option these days. And it is.I'm not sure if it was mentioned here or on 247, but the idea that CSU will now start getting the JVDs, Joe Davis, Dante Sparaco, Chase Penry, Hank Zilinskas and Andrew Metzgers, Ty Robinson, Grant Page, etc of the world because CU is swimming in a larger pond now, should help them get back to a competitive level in the MWC.
I think so many of their fans have had this delusion that they were an attractive target for P5 expansion, and their expectations have been so out of touch, that they lose sight of the fact they are a middling G5 program with limited resources and their sole focus should be competing with the regional programs like Wyoming, AFA, Utah State, UNLV, etc.
2019, and it was ESPNI mean, CU/CSU used to be on national TV. What was it on last time, Pac-12?
Maxpreps, Hudl.I don’t know how anyone can truly know about CSU recruiting. Their rivals and 247 team sites are unmanned and inactive. All you have is Ramnation, where everything is rosy all the time.
2019, and it was ESPN
it doesn’t help IMO that some of the denver post sports writers are more intrerested in writing zingers/attacking the programs when they should be celebrating the in-state programs and building them up like other cities do.Just to start...

That release at the beginning is pretty sharp to me eye.SIAP...but I'll just leave this here muthakas
Thanks. I didn’t trust Tom Brady’s evaluation, but now that you’ve weighed in I’m feeling way more comfortable. That release at the beginning is pretty sharp to me eye.
100% This. They probably ****ed up big with letting Jack Graham be the AD. He made some big moves, but he also swung and missed a few times, took huge gambles, and IIRC, amassed a mountain of debt. But to the fans he was "one of us". A lot of apathy set in after he was shown the door, even though he absolutely needed to be shown the door.
For some reason, my dyslexia always makes me first perceive Maxpreps as Maxperps.Maxpreps, Hudl.
He is for sure back in Jackson. His son’s YouTube channel (well off media) showed him leaving on Sunday night to film a commercial and leading practice at Jackson State on Monday. So do we know is Prime still here, or at least back this weekend?
Maybe because he had like 9 followers on twitter? Why didn’t Dorrell try this?
Bots.Maybe because he had like 9 followers on twitter?
So Suzy Wargin and her old man aren’t pumping in the dough?Just to start...
