That would be a huge get at RB…. I used to say please… with little expectation… but now…. When these 4* and 5* names appear here…. They seem to end up here. Barely wrap my brain around this.Just a high four star with five star offers asking to join the club. NBD.
So - one of three things...first, a deferral has been discussed. Probably more along the lines of serving in the reserve, but that's usually saved for those that get drafted to the pros straight from the academy, ie. David Robinson and Joe Cardona (Patriots long snapper.)I don’t even think that’s an option. He likely will still need to honor his service commitment but probably got a deferral.
ITT somebody mentioned he’s going to get a Master’s degree/serve with ROTC and must enlist when complete. So - one of three things...first, a deferral has been discussed. Paying back the equivalent tuition has been done (no one in pro sports fits this bill.) If he gets a big NIL, could be on the table.
Third option - payback via serving an enlisted tour. However, that's really only for those that fail out of academy/ROTC and don't graduate.
Guessing one of the first two is what happens.
