Just because the tweet cuts off the most important part:

I'm not completely clear on this, but I think 5 of our transfers have yet to be graded as transfers, so they don't add any points to our total? That's also why we have a 90 average ranking because they aren't mixed into the average/recruit rating yet.

In other words, our average may be under 90, but our points are likely higher than Michigan's for the top spot once this happens.

I don’t even think that’s an option. He likely will still need to honor his service commitment but probably got a deferral.
So - one of three things...first, a deferral has been discussed. Probably more along the lines of serving in the reserve, but that's usually saved for those that get drafted to the pros straight from the academy, ie. David Robinson and Joe Cardona (Patriots long snapper.)

Paying back the equivalent tuition has been done (no one in pro sports fits this bill.) If he gets a big NIL, could be on the table.

Third option - payback via serving an enlisted tour. However, that's really only for those that fail out of academy/ROTC and don't graduate.

Guessing one of the first two is what happens.

ITT somebody mentioned he’s going to get a Master’s degree/serve with ROTC and must enlist when complete.
