Apparently he lost his starting spot on his highschool team, and had a lackluster season. Him decommitting from UT is more of a realization that he probably wouldn't see any playing time there, and that it is likely that UT is going to move on from him.

I don't know about his season, but he does play on the best high school team in the entire country. They are loaded 3-deep.

MD is loaded. Watched a couple of their games this year (against Servite) they are unreal.
Their Soph QB is the best HS QB I have seen.
