He was,

Passed up an opportunity to be drafted into the NFL teams when he let them know that instead of continuing to play football he would be pursuing his education in England.

He earned his Ph.D is atmospheric physics and later taught at MIT. He is currently heading the Marine Meteorology Division of the US Navy Research Lab.

Pretty good for a big, dumb jock.
 
Just hoping that these guys can't find the CU game on the Pac-12 Network (the Ocho) and see what awaits. Then again, maybe they figure that they can start right away.
 
Hopefully they won't be required to start right away. But if they ae ready, there is no one standing in their way right now.
