I don’t know if this represents a return to the MT strategy of recruiting massive OL, but I kind of hope it does. If we can ever get to the point where we can cycle 10 guys through the line during a game who are all 6’6” 315+, it will do a lot to keep us in games.
 
Being able to turn around and hand the ball off knowing that you can count on getting at least 3-4 yards makes a huge difference in the effectiveness of an offense and confidence of a QB. A few big guys like this can make that a lot easier.

This is a bit unfair: last years’ offense almost always got 3-4 yards from where the RB was lined up before he was swarmed under by the three-man defensive front. Sure, that’s a net loss, but not from the point of view of the RB.
(Just feeling snarky today, sorry.)
