Scrimmage standout: Kyndrich Breedlove
Sophomore cornerback Kyndrich Breedlove made an impression in possessions with the first-team defense. He ended Dart's first drive with a crucial pass breakup over the middle and later in the scrimmage intercepted a pass where he undercut a receiver and dove in front of him for the turnover.
Ole Miss' defensive backfield is loaded with bodies this year. Finley, Otis Reese, Ladarius Tennison and Isheem Young are all veterans at safety, and the cornerback room is stacked with experience from Miles Battle, Deantre Prince, Tysheem Johnson and Trey Washington. But Breedlove has turned heads this spring and is earning reps in the first-team rotation. If he keeps making plays, he'll remain in that rotation and provide even more depth in a secondary that needs it.
And sounds like the injury is wrist related, so not nearly as performance impacting as things like ACL/MCL.Apparently was going to start before the injury sidelined him.
Only thing it compromised would be his strength training for several monthsAnd sounds like the injury is wrist related, so not nearly as performance impacting as things like ACL/MCL.
Looks like he/she is about to run a route.
My Ole Miss connection says this kid is very focused. Has had to live with some serious tragedies.
Something like 10 kids in the family and the dad died in 2017 and older brother in 2019.
I'd root for this kid no matter where he played.
He wants it.

I hear certain people whining about giving scholarships to athletes, especially football players. I don't know what the chances would be of this kid getting an academic scholarship but how many opportunities are provided by football for guys like this to change his life and the lives of those who follow him. What a tough last few years for this young man. Way too much. I'll be rooting for him more than most
