Would be a big win for the defense. Right now it's DJ and Hood on the outside and they are trying to find a slot CB to replace him. Keeping him around and filling in the depth with Vickers, Hardge and another transfer would be ideal.

Well, we were all expecting him to graduate, but he could have another year of eligibility if this ruling about JUCO seasons applies to every JUCO player out there.

He seemed to take a big step forward last year, was becoming a key playmaker on the defense.

Another year with Coach Prime and the staff, even if he makes a smaller step forward as a player could move him up in terms of his value to the NFL.

8-10 cbs who can play is a pipe dream. They’ll add more during Spring portal but they realistically need 5-6 total who can play. In a pinch they’d likely move Stoutmire to Nickel

Here's a typical NFL 53-man roster (found it on Quora):

QB-3
RB-4
WR-7
TE-3
OL-8
DL-5
LB-9
CB-6
S-6
K-1

I think you can pretty much double this as a rule of thumb with some slight adjustments. You're going to need a LS in your 105, for example. Buffs play a 4-3, while many NFL teams play a 3-4, so our DL numbers go up while our LB numbers adjust down. You may want to carry a FB for situational reasons. Some BPA cases and whatnot, but the above x2 is going to be close.

I think that's where Stoutmire would fit really well.
