I think the thought is that if he's still around 200lbs (not the rumored 220) that he could be more of that S/LB hybrid Rover position in a 3-3-5 or 4-2-5.

I haven't heard anything but of late that's been confirmed on his weight but the intention is that he's a inside linebacker.

As long as he has the necessary physicality and a serviceable DL in front, speed and instincts >>>> an extra 10-20 pounds. A stiff just gets exposed in coverage or laterally.

Pretty sure this entire conversation was based on the rumor that he's actually 220 now. If that's the case, this is all a non-issue. If he's still 200 lbs then I agree, comparing him to guys who are 230-235 is pointless.
