Big Jim
WTF?
My mind is always in Colorado, even if my body usually isn’t.
No idea if he owns a house or not. In Colorado or not. I'm pretty sure that @Uncle Ken 's mind is in the gutter though.

It was a joke. Remember when KD got the coaching job because he had a house in Boulder? No idea if he owns a house or not. In Colorado or not. I'm pretty sure that @Uncle Ken 's mind is in the gutter though.

Humor me…and you didHis film looks good. We are sort of packed at the position, except for adding a blue-chip. He would be great as a PWO. I just don't know who would have to shuffle out to get him a spot.
Because people on here were flat out calling him slow during the season. Why would people need to remember this?
So you waited until the end of January to "remind" people?Because people on here were flat out calling him slow during the season.
You know how these people areSo you waited until the end of January to "remind" people?
What do you mean “these people”You know how these people are

If the DC ended up being Lovie Smith, give me Woods as the MLB in a Tampa 2 all day, any day.Woods needs to move back to strong safety. People seem to forget he's a 4.47 guy in the forty. Let him roam. Don't ask him to man cover anybody.

TW does run well. We tried it, starting with Ore St. but he played much more with Arizona. Watch his number on the highlights.
He was too small at ILB and could not get off a block, even blocks by smaller guys (his open shot at the QB was dusted by a smaller RB). Against a bigger guy and the inside line play in general it was brutal. He was just swallowed up. On many runs, he shot the wrong gaps. When he dropped into coverage, they were exploited there too--he was not in the plays to the TEs, or shorter passes--just late or not deep enough. That is why Woods at MLB experiment ended, and Arizona was his last game of the season. He played to the end. IMO, he is just not a LB, thus will be back to safety. Even with 20 more pounds would not make a difference, as those pounds could slow him down.
Just because they do the wrong thing doesn't mean they are coached that way. I've watched every JSU game and our LBs were the smartest on the field and always shot the right gaps. He just didn't have the personnel last year. The DL didn't do the linebackers any favors either in terms of our running game. So much wrong in this. So Wester isn't decent or more than decent? Wade isn't decent or more than decent? Come on manThe LB crew obviously needs more talent... But adding a guy from Central Michigan doesn't scream problem solved. It feels like a few folks want him because he is from CO. Unless CP can bring in a stud LB or two, it won't matter - Hart just directs his LB's to run full speed in-between the Center/Guard gap at the snap of each play taking them out of the play. No vertical movement and leaves the middle of the field wide open for cross routes (which was a problem when we had a freshman CB playing 1:1). It is also telling that no decent LB transfer in the country is willing to play for CU under Hart. It seems like the only way to resolve the dim LB outlook is for this new shiny DC savior to have some leverage and can bring in a stud or two himself.
I know you are bias towards Harr. I'm judging him based on two cycles of recruiting and one season on the field. Guy cannot recruit despite having CP as coach and his inability to coach up the LB's is alarming.Just because they do the wrong thing doesn't mean they are coached that way. The thing that continues to surprise me with LB recruiting is that they're really not even going after LB's. They clearly targeted both lines and had high success rates even without much of the defensive staff in place. At LB, it was pretty much Lundy or bust, and after that they pivoted to Wester as a backup plan. Is it on Hart as a recruiter, or is it a staff decision not to recruit the position?I know you are bias towards Harr. I'm judging him based on two cycles of recruiting and one season on the field. Not to speak for everyone but we would be pleased if the LB core filled gaps, moved vertically, covered in space effectively and he actually lands a couple solid LB's. We are are rooting for it, literally. But until that happens, it's fair to say he doesn't belong at this level.
We have Wade and Wester. Wester finished 2nd in the nation last year in run stopping and Wade is already on draft boards as a linebacker and his build similar to Jack Campbell.I know you are bias towards Harr. Wester looks a lot bigger than 200 in pictures. He looks 220 which is what he was rumored to be. He does not look Woods or Shilo size. He's bulky like a running backWester looks nice but extremely light in the britches. B12 might be ok for a 200lb LB but a full season will likely grind him down.
Speculating but it's a no brainer especially since he did in partially at Kentucky and and did it very well where we completely lack it at CU. Whereas, we have EDGE rushers who are nearly as good and some are better than he is.Are we just speculating on Wade at ILB or has that been publicized as the plan?
Knocking a kid who went to WMU? Did you watch his tape? Kid can play period. The LB crew obviously needs more talent... But adding a guy from Central Michigan doesn't scream problem solved. He's 6'2" 245 lbs, moves well, 2x All MAC player, team captain, and leading tackler, but some people see that he prepped in Colorado, so it's an automatic no go.Knocking a kid who went to WMU? Did you watch his tape? Kid can play period.
And you forgot to add that any merit-based argument will be dismissed as bias toward a Colorado kid. He's 6'2" 245 lbs, moves well, 2x All MAC player, team captain, and leading tackler, but some people see that he prepped in Colorado, so it's an automatic no go.

Our Dline was incredibly weak last year. If the opposing teams Olinemen are consistently getting to the second level there isn't a LB coach in the world who can scheme for that...
That being said, Moretti would be a great upgrade at LB.

[Hart] literally had our best rooms each year at JSU and developed LBs. Why would I make this up, i literally watched every game and the grades prove it. The LB room was weak. Blame him for missing on some guys we landed like Kennedy but it happens. We got Wester and Wade. We are likely in a good place.
tl;drWe have so many MTNs now.
