Verbal to CU '26 IL TE Gavin Mueller

Sacha Baron Cohen Thumbs Up GIF by Amazon Prime Video

It would be CU's luck. Best TE recruit in 15ish years and then outgrows the position.
The game, and the way TEs are used has changed.

Nate was an outstanding athlete for an OT but by current standards would have been a little slow for a TE, when he played TE he was more like a 3rd tackle in the running game who was an eligible receiver that occassionaly ran some limited routes.

Now the TE is looked at more like a giant inside receiver who is also counted on to sometimes block.

Gronk and Kelsey are both guys who have the raw side that they could have put them at tackle, and 30 years ago they might have ended up there, but no way would anyone have considered not using them as TEs in the current game.

Unless something happens to make Mueller slow you love the mismatch, to big to cover with a DB, to fast to cover with a LB.
