a great piece on medium about our Buffs and this latest horrible loss.

I liked it. I won't pretend to be a journalistic critic, but i enjoyed it.

Serious question, not a critique.

I know what the word "existential" means, but don't understand the significance of it's use in the title. Can you help me out?
It has to do with fear of death. In this case, of a football program.

Your posts both here and 247 generally suck, so you should relax on the criticism
So, what? I’m supposed to be a sunshine pumper for a horrible excuse for an article? Or is it my criticism of the way they have coached Lewis? Am I supposed to pump sunshine on that too? Do you really think that Lewis has been coached well? And if you think my posts suck, please use the ignore function. It’s there for a reason.

You’re being a dick for no reason is the point.

Meh. Way too bloated. Way too self-referential. Way too self reverential too. Way too trying hard to be cleaver. That article needed an (obviously absent) editor badly. Very badly.

And isn’t the whole article just the latest in a string of similar restatements of the obvious that we have seen here and elsewhere over the years?

So, the Minnesota game was an embarrassment to everyone associated with CU football, from the team, to the fans, to the coaches, and admin? No ****, Sherlock.

So HCKD wasn’t the first choice? I had never heard that before. What a revelation!

So CU has been relegated often to the PAC-12 Network? That’s some serious journalism to come up with that conclusion.

At this point it is pretty obvious to even a passing casual observer that CU football is on the wrong trajectory. But catastrophic? Maybe, but teams have come back from worse many times. Anyone with half a brain can see that Lewis has been completely, utterly, and amazingly poorly coached. That is something that can be theoretically fixed (I personally put the chances of that happening somewhere north of “none” but way south of “slim.”)

CU’s situation is far from a nothingburger. That article is a turkey nothingburger.

The worst feeling for a fan of any team is when the team they are rooting for can’t compete against teams they are associated with. A very poor offensive display can only compound those feelings even further.

That article showed me I wasn’t alone at all in questioning my commitment to CU football after that debacle against Minny. The sun rose the next day and just today, I’m able to get a little bit pumped up because it is ASU week.

I can’t wait to see the Buffs have revenge in MN next year and those Husker fans will cry at the thought of getting their hearts ripped out again in 2023 & 2024.

Things will get better amrite?

Neutral 3rd party view: You might've toned down the emotional blast in your critique after learning the author was a contributing member of the forum. You could've still made your points, without offending, as it seems like Stormtrooper is open to constructive feedback.

Except, it wasn't a horrible article.

I am unclear, you didn't like it?

Meh. Way too bloated. Way too self-referential. Way too self reverential (needs a hyphen) too. Way too trying hard (huh?) to be cleaver (that's a meat chopping tool). That article needed an (obviously absent) editor badly. Very badly. (semi-colon would have been much better here)

And isn’t the whole article just the latest in a string of similar restatements of the obvious that we have seen here and elsewhere over the years? (nice run on sentence)

So, the Minnesota game was an embarrassment to everyone associated with CU football, (colon would have been better since you're listing items) from the team, to the fans, to the coaches, and admin (and the admin*)? No ****, Sherlock.

So HCKD wasn’t the first choice? I had never heard that before. What a revelation!

At this point (comma here) it is pretty obvious to even a passing casual observer that CU football is on the wrong trajectory. But catastrophic? Maybe, but teams have come back from worse many times. Anyone with half a brain can see that Lewis has been completely, utterly, and amazingly poorly coached. That is something that can be theoretically fixed (I personally (I personally is redundant and you didn't even use a comma since you decided to remain redundant) put the chances of that happening somewhere north of “none” but way south of “slim.”)

Those are just the issues I found with a quick skim. But I was not an English major, so I could have missed a few.
