Rae Carruth didn’t turn into the murderous scumbag he became until he left Boulder. He was, by all accounts, a model citizen when he was here.

Does that really make any difference? Maybe. He was a great player when he was here, so I’m fine with his inclusion.

Overall a really good job, much better than I would have done.

We want to put in guys from more recent years because they are fresher in out memories. Fact is though that we have had two decades of substandard teams, few of our best players would even break the two deep on a comparative basis.

With Prime it looks like we are entering into another era of nationally competitive teams built with top level talent. Coach Mac built a series of teams that were feeding players into the draft on a yearly basis. At one time the Buffs had something like 54 players at one time on active NFL rosters. A natty and should have had one or two more speaks to the level of players.

Prior to that we had the Eddie Crowder era. The Buffs finished 3rd in the nation but had the misfortune of being in the conference which dominated college football at a level not seen since. The Buffs #3 but Oklahoma and Nebraska were #1 and #2.

To be fair you have to measure players compared to the other players of their eras and by their impact on the overall success of the program.
