AllBuffs (and AllBuffers) on social media

curious what social media platforms people are frequenting these days. for me, in approximate order of usage

platform	common uses for me
Allbuffs	comradery, following CU news, politics, skiing advice, screwing around
Instagram	building my brand to the point where I can leave my job and make money as a paid motivational speaker (also following sports, music and other interests)
Facebook	staying current with family and certain friends
14ers.com	route information, building network of CO mountaineer friends
Reddit	screwing around
LinkedIn	professional networking
X	screwing around
Threads	I keep forgetting this is a thing
Mastodon	I think I created an account, but not sure I've ever logged in since

Allbuffs and LinkedIn are the only ones I’ve subscribed to on that list. Don’t even know what four of those you listed except for your description of 14.

Allbuffs and 247 are my only socials and I try to avoid reading 247 besides Adam.

Ditto. Got rid of FB when I was getting ready for the bar exam bc I absolutely did not want to hear about other people's gripes or what they thought of the exam (would've driven me crazy) - and then never re-started it. Never had Insta. Got rid of Twitter last year. Guess I do have LinkedIn but IMO its not any better than FB ... lots of grandstanding BS. Too old for TikTok. And never understood the point of Snapchat (is that even still a thing?)

Short of it is I hate social media

When I was teaching I didn't want to deal with having a presence on SM so I never even signed up an account for facebook, IG, SnapChat, etc. Found that I didn't miss them so haven't bothered.

I am on AB too much, have an account on LinkedIn that I occasionally look at but haven't posted anything in a couple of years. I also used to be active on the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree board but had drifted away from it and barely noticed when they shut it down.

Sometimes if I need a good laugh I go to SheepNation or the fusker board just to see how dumb they are being on a particular day.
