yea, this game will be close for about 3 minutes. bummer! :huh:
however, FCSC is replaying the 2004 CU vs csewe game. you can watch MH get stuffed again.
They typically don't put a big game such as LSU/Auburn on a Thursday night.
There typically isn't very many big games the first weekend. Many top teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, USC, Bama, etc. are opening up with I-AA teams or patsies. The Ga Tech-ND game should be interesting as well as OSU-Georgia, with Tennessee-Cal the headliner. And Mizzou-Illinois will be closer than alot of people might expect.

That's what the Clemson-FSU loser is looking at Monday night. The loser of that one is practically eliminated from the division race. Yes they're in the same division with the ACC's ****ed up "Coastal" and "Atlantic" divisions. :wtf:
That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. While 4dem's point about losing early helps on a national scale, it's pretty hard to recover in a division race if you lose that first game. You're down the equivalent of two games (with the tiebreaker) after one week. That would really suck. I'm glad the Big 12 conference games are separate from non-conference games.

however, think back to the 2001 season. had the loss to Fresno St (?) came in mid season or at the end, CU would not have missed playing for the natl championship by .03 or whatever it was. that was my only point. :smile2:

Agreed, I like playing the non-con games first before getting into the conference schedule. As you pointed out, a loss to a division foe essentially puts you 2 games down to that particular team.
Yea they are! They're not running the ball too bad considering it's against one of the nation's top defenses, but that QB, Selig or whatever his name is, is pathetic.
