Arizona Game - Official Thread (10/7, 6 PM, Pac-12 Network)

You all seriously need to wake up. Montez can’t read a defense. When the other team uses a blitz then there are people one on one. A good QB would fire the ball at one of the players getting man covered. Montez just freaks out and looks to run. Sorry folks but as long as Montez is playing this team should bail on the pass, good o line or bad isn’t going to make a difference now that every d coordinator knows this about Montez.
 
Not a fan of the statement. "WE are not that good"
There are 3 groups of WE involved in that comment, the Fans, Players, and Coaches
We need 3 out 3 to be solid, and I think we are just not there on all 3 yet. Players are trending up, Fans are trending up, Coaches are stagnant or over there heads.
 
So here's the problem fellas - this offense line is gawd awful in pass protection, and UA's QB is the exact worst problem for our defense, because he exploits our weakest spots in terms of lack of speed.

If we lose, it will be because of those two things. Everything else isn't really worth bitching about.

You are not totally wrong, but he is a talent and you may have to just design the offense around what he can do. 75% of college QB's cannot read defense, including the Alabama QB, the Clemson QB, and many of the rest of the Top 20. Your talent is your talent, coach them.

One time there's a pocket and Montez hits Mac, so if he does have enough time to hit the hot read he will and the next time the route will get jumped. 2 guys playing ball right now and Montez is one of them.

the receivers are not exactly helping the cause right now. I've seen zero separation all game long.

Team has screwed themselves since the win vs utah.
 
'late hit - out of bounds' has become BS. A big man leaning forward, full speed, cannot stop in 5 yards

The last third down Montez had a pocket with time and three yes three wide open WR down field. Instead of getting rid of the ball he holds it and holds it and holds it. Suddenly he is under duress and his arm gets hit as he throws. Definitely the offensive lines fault. No doubt.
 
I can't get over how terrible we look up front. Play calling and protection are so bad. Take advantage of the aggressiveness and start opening up the field. Edwards getting blown up as usual.
 
Penalties seem a bit unbalanced. Undisciplined team this year (as an understatement).

And before I hit "post reply", I get to witness that continuation of the horror show trying to tackle the QB.
