ASU having a Nike extreme makeover?

I think they're uniforms have been just fine, actually. I think they have the colors right and look pretty sharp and (most importantly) unique:

They're getting a new pitchfork logo. Frankly, it isn't much different than the old pitchfork logo.
 
the cartoon devil guy is weak. it's supposedly a parody of Walt Disney, right? i like the colors.....better than Va Tech's cut a raw garnet yam in half sex appeal.

looks like from those pics they've got optic yellow for pants more than anything that matches school history. the tummy/crotch pouch thing in the new look is creepy...what are they: sun devil sex kangaroos?

the horns thing has been done to death. and almost always badly.

I know skidmark. And that, my good friend, is no skidmark. That's what is referred to in the lady's undergarment industry as a jumbo sized "panty liner shield". It's used to keep aunt flo from escaping the sanitary napkin and painting the town red.

sparky is like the all whites. they look good when you are winning, silly when you lose.

i know we were one of the orig Nike schools....but, if i'm Bohn and it's feasible, i get to Adidas or UA if it's possible. NIke has already shown we got their low level designers.
 
I'm not liking the rumor that black may be entering into the equation for their colors...that's our color and we don't need one of the other conference teams horning in our turf. Bad enough that we had to deal with it with Mizzou.
 
Black is going to be incorporated, but only for alternate uniforms/designs. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see lots of black ASU fan gear with yellow accents. One of the new pitchfork designs features a black pitchfork with yellow trim. BTW, **** ASU.
 
F that ish. Adding colors to make uni's look less atrocious is ghey. Oregon and now ASU?

That is something I was thinking that ought to be done. Since Utah is already with UA, why not have CU with UA and UA would get a kick out of the invasion of the Pac-10 theme. Maybe part of the reason why Utah isn't playing UO for a couple of years is that by the time the Utes plays the Ducks, maybe they will be under the Nike camp.

Addias would be fine with that traditional look.

I believe I have seen Washington State with Russell Athletic at times in the last decade.

Personally, I think it's about time for a new sponsor if Nike isn't going to step up their $$$ for us.

Keep in mind, if Michigan (an original Nike school) and Texas A&M could switch to addias, we could do the same thing.
