43. Steven Montez, Colorado

I think you're right, but I get why Athlon has Montez rated below Stevens and Troy Williams (Utah). It all has to do with a lack of starts and not knowing if the time he got last year will transfer over to a full season. I suspect Montez would be ranked much higher if this list came out after week four or five of the season.Sorry, but Nick Stevens is not a better QB than Montez even with nearly 2 seasons starting.
It depends on how you're viewing it. Allen is one of the best QB prospects for the NFL next year, but that doesn't mean he's one of the best QBs in college football. Lamar Jackson isn't an NFL QB, but he's #1 on this list. Browning is #5 on this list but I bet he's lower than Allen on NFL boards. Same goes for JT Barrett, Baker Mayfield, and Jalen Hurts to name a few more. The biggest problem I saw with the list is that Josh Allen (Wyoming) is only ranked 20th. Limited information I have heard from pro scouts is that this guy is one of the best QB prospects for next year...which means he should be much higher than 20.
I actually was thinking something similar after I posted that comment, but was too lazy to edit.It depends on how you're viewing it.
