Truly we've suffered enough for our crime of permitting charlatans to tempt our athletes. We are humbly sorry for our shortcomings.
Sadly, though, there's too much truth to the sarcasm. Been reading way too many tweets, message board posts and even insinuations from official statements from the folks at Baylor that paint the picture. There is definitely the thought from a number of folks there that the kind of girl who goes out drinking and dancing with the kind of guys they have on the football team isn't the type of girl who represents Baylor values, so the victims aren't all that sympathetic.
I won't even try to write out how wrong that attitude is in so many ways that start from the fact that the attitudes are racist, sexist and elitist.
