Bench Montez - October 4 Edition

These threads every week go nothing. If Tucker had s viable alternative, the sub would have been made. The only alternative is to attempt to coach and connect with a athletically gifted kid who hasn’t clicked on all aspects of the maturity and field general scale. We aren’t two deep at a lot of positions. When he is on, this team is fun and exciting. When he isn’t, it is bad. Hope he is on through the rest of the season!

Montez selected for a fourth time as a captain. The coaches like him, I would assume from this.

Some AB'ers conjecture the players quit on him during the Oregon game.

Has anyone specifically asked Coach Tucker what goes into selecting a Captain? I would think that prior game performance has to have a 10-20% factor? You can act like those Interceptions were not totally his fault, but they were if he threw the ball. He would seem to be better off not as a Captain this week!

In my humble opinion, Davion Taylor gave the most effort against Oregon, constantly sprinting down some really fast guys!!!

Montez probably did not even go outside in El Paso if it was cold and wet, cause he does not seem to know how to play in bad weather. Hoping for the best.
