dammit. I read that as bring frost back as a coordinator to save Pelini's job. FWIW, plenty of huskers on the Rivals main board are ready for Frost now. There's an odd humility going on with them, no illusions of getting a big name.

I met Tommie back in '99. The guy has to stop during conversations to tell himself to breathe. He is that dumb. I've met some dumbs&ts in my time, but he could be the dumbest. It was borderline uncomfortable.
 
Pelini looked pretty good when he had Callahan's guys, so certainly recruiting is part of it. Maybe most of it. But I'd still bet that NDSU would play better defense at this point, with less talent.

I think Pelini's guy give up on him because he's such an ass. As soon as he started having tirade's the ship started to sink on Saturday.
 
Here's my guess:

Grandpa Tom comes back and hires Scott Frost as the OC and coach in waiting. Goes 2 years, maybe 3.

Love that it is causing turmoil in Nub land. The last thing they need is stuff like this cropping up to create a distraction, which means it is perfect timing!

Im glad to see I'm not the only one who has A) met Tommie in person, and B) come to the conclusion that he is as dumb as a box of wet hammers.

What a shatstorm going on over here..... Must admit I am not a BOliever and have not been for a couple years now but I do not want this to play out this way. the NU fanbase resembles CU's with the open calls for firing and such. He needs to be removed based on his record and coaching ineptatude, not his mouth. At minimum he needs a revamped staff and he needs help with his lack of brain govenor/filter. CU fans act like fans. So do nebraska's. We just don't claim to be the classiest anything. You're a good egg.

It's actually quite fascinating observing Husker fans right now. There is a bit of an identity crisis going on, partially because Husker fans don't know who their program is anymore (from 40 year-long dynasty to fringe-relevant for a decade plus), and Bo's behavior is making people have to decide what kind of program they want, on the spot. There seems to be a fairly even split between:
  • Bo should be fired
  • Bo should resign
  • Let's boycott the game
  • Let's booo Bo but support the players
  • Sack up, we are Huskers, get over it

Like I said, quite fascinating, and yes, a little familiar.

A great thing about watching that video was that it brought up suggestions of other videos at the end. Like the one where the Nub player sucker punched the Mizzou fan after the game and Solich deflected blame to the problem of fans being on the field.

Of course, lost in all of this is the fact that while Bo gets blown out regularly by real opponents, he is still winning a minimum of 9 games a year and often 10. They would be crazy to fire him. Of course, they are crazy...

The arrogance came from the very start. Nebraska folks hate it when that word is tied to their school, but it's true. If history is any indication, Huskers fans will lash back at being called arrogant by e-mailing about how great they are.

I found this one when looking for the article written in the Kansas State rag which essentially said, "nebraska fans are like any other fans--except they don't know it."

Rep to anybody that can find that article.
