Bobo leaves team.....

opened thinking it meant Bryce... damn, suks for the other Bobo, good luck to him. I know that was a hard decision to make, walking away from his team at this time of the year especially.

I kinda expect him to show up shortly before RMS kickoff just to give the ewes an emotional lift.

And I expect the Buffs to crush that spirit shortly after kickoff.

Rammation:
I played golf today with a doctor-he said 7+days in hospital is serious
I told him what the media described as Bobo’s diagnosis-but he felt that are trying to identify something much more serious.

I hope the golfing doctor is wrong.

Afraid you may be right. They don't keep you in the hospital for seven days or more unless you are either in very bad shape or they don't know what is going on and are afraid of what it might be.

For a coach like Bobo to be away from his team at this time of year for this long is not normal.

I was worrying much of the same. I looked up the peripheral neuropathy diagnosis that was presented to the media and that seems like it's a pretty broad term for any external tingling or numbness. It can mean a lot of other conditions and can be very temporary to a lifelong problem. The more this goes on, the more I worry that Bobo has a serious condition. We can assume they have tested for things like diabetes already and ruled some of those common things out. Let's hope it's not something real bad. Karma.

My first thought was MS, but they wouldn't hold him that long even for MS, would they?

Kind of reminds me of Gary Kubiak. Perhaps Bobo is done with coaching and can work behind the scenes somewhere if not Ft. Collins.

I ain't no doctor, so I dunno. As I stated above, my good friend was diagnosed with (mild, manageable) MS about 3 years ago that started with foot numbness. But that was all done outpatient. I can't speculate, but can hope that Coach Bobo is getting the best care and will be back on the field as soon as possible.

I heard he recently had knee surgery so maybe it’s somehow related to that.

From deep in left field.. My dad had brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. During the operation, a nerve that allows your eye to feel something in it was damaged. The result was that my dad could never feel things in his eye and thus would never tear up to remove debris...yada yada, corneal transplant, but not life threatening. Ergo, knee surgery could have something to do with it while not actually being that serious of a condition.

Reliable poster on Ramnation is saying he got transferred to a hospital in Denver. Does not sound like good news.

Yeah - I can't think of a situation where that would be considered good news. Prayers to Coach. Get well soon!

Damn. If Bobo can't make the RMS, I hope our fans present at the game are respectful and maybe give him a standing ovation or some acknowledgement before kickoff. I'm sure he'll be watching on TV. Although I'm sure he'll want to switch it off before the half. ;)

Post just put out an article saying he was transferred due to some symptoms that manifested

Man this is awful. He's not that old. I feel horrible for the guy. I hope that they are keeping him to run other tests and this turns out to be something benign and manageable.
