But, you're saying we aren't IN The bottom 10?

Really all we needed was a few more penalties, maybe 1 more missed FG, or a long PR and we would have made the list easy.

If we are gonna suck, shouldn't we try to suck the worst/best.
 
We will have taken up permanent residence in the Bottom 10 next year when we have our worst season yet at 1-11 or possibly 2-10.

Come on now, most of us know that I am being realistic. Hell, I will even take a page from Hawkins book when he says, "We were 10 plays from making a bowl this year." Maybe. But we were alot closer to the opposite. We were 2 plays from a 1-11 season this year. Same staff and same players are coming back and we have a much tougher schedule to get through next year. Is it negative? Yes. Is it realistic? Yes. Will it take away from my passion to be a Buff fan or keep me from supporting the team? Absolutely not! Should I be more like Hawkins then? "Its just the little things that need to be cleaned up!" I guess if we fix the "little things" we will be 10-2 next year and win the Big 12 North! :rolleyes:

I follow NMSU football as an alum of NMSU as well. Trust me, they are doing things better to help out their program than we, given AD resources, conferences, location, etc... They've been one of the worst D1 programs ever so being on this list isn't a shock, but at the same time they are at least TRYING to do something about it.

IMO, we should be switched with them.
