Hagan

Stewart

Detmer

Hagan was the best runner and option man, Detmer by far the best passer. Stewart was decent at both.

Moschetti is a favorite of mine also...

I disagree about Kordell a distant 3rd. The only thing that really seperated him from Hagan was his big game flaws. Hagan was a little better with his feet thats about it. Kordell did some amazing stuff with his arm and legs. Kordell was also faster than Hagan and had a better arm. An amazing talent!

Been curious for a while of fans thoughts of best QB in CU history ? My vote is Bobby Pesavento would have loved to see what he really could have done with more PT and true starts. We have really been struggling at this position for some time now

Really? With these stats?

Fiesta Bowl - Pesavento (CU) 11-27-2-139. And he got pulled in place of Craig Ochs.

Edit - well that's an unreadable hot mess. Anyway...the stats are not good.

Vote = Stewart

i would have loved to see Moschetti play for a different set of CU teams. kid was all heart. not saying he was the best, but good player for us. i don't vote Pez in the top 5 easy. love the kid's contribution but give Moschetti Victor Rodgers, Gurode, Dan Graham and Chris Brown...Bobby.

at least he beat NU more than most our QB's could say and won a big12 championship.... my point was that we have never really had a "great QB" - sad when you look at CU football history

You may be able to paste that into a table rather than directly.

I think we should change this to 'most disappointing QB' - we've had a lot experience with that over the past ~15 years than 'best ones'.

Just off the top of my head, in no particular order:

Ochs
Klatt
Brennan

Ok it seems the top 3 by most are Hagan, Stewart and Detmer

Here is the breakdown comparisions of the three.

Kordell Stewart
Career totals passing: 33 games, completed 456 of 785 for 6481 yards with 33 TD's and 19 INT's. Long of 72. Completed 58.1% of his passes.
Career totals rushing: 302 attempts for 1289 yards with 15 td's. 4.3 average and a long of 60.

Threw a 64 yard TD pass to Michael Westbrook to beat Michigan in 94.

Darian Hagan
Career totals passing: 39 games, completed 213 or 424 for 3801 yards with 27 td's and 19 int's. Long of 85. Completed 50.2% od his passes.
Career totals rushing: 489 attempts for 2007 yards with 27 td's. 4.1 average and a long of 75.

Notes: First Big 8 QB to ever go over 1000 yards rushing and passing in a season. Finished 5th in the Heisman voting in 89. Sporting news first team All-American in 89. Never lost a conference game as a starter. Most career rushing yards from a QB in CU history.

Koy Detmer

Career passsing totals: 29 games, completed 350 of 594 for 5390 yards with 40 td's and 25 INT's. Long of 92. Completed 58.9% of his passes.
