Buffs needed a win like this

So the improvement magically happens in one game?
 
This was a tough win. All wins are good and a tough win does build character while preparing you for challenges down the road. When stanford had the ball down on our goal line about to possibly score. I was really worried but Kenneth took that ball...sweet.

You are correct, we ran the ball on them. We made multiple mistakes in the red zone though. The missed FGs were ugly but at least one of those should have been a TD instead of a FG try. We had a number of times when we were moving the ball and then stalled because of a mistake on our part as much as a defensive play on their part.

Importantly though while we made mistakes that cost us points we didn't make the mistakes that gave them points.

The unsportsmanlike penalties in the red zone were sloppy. The fact that we couldn't kick a field goal was frustrating. This season is lining up perfectly. Even when we win, the staff has big issues to keep them focused.
Red zone play calling and execution would be high on my list this week!
