Safety Anthony Perkins, who leads the team with 32 tackles, will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in the 26-0 loss to Missouri. Perkins suffered the injury in the first half, but finished the game.
"He's a warrior," coach Dan Hawkins told the Boulder Daily Camera. "We'll miss him physically and emotionally."
The Buffaloes will also be without running back Brian Lockridge, who will miss the remainder of the season with an ankle injury. Lockridge served as the backup to Rodney Stewart, and had 35 carries for 146 yards and a touchdown.
Hawkins said he plans to move sophomore wide receiver Will Jefferson to running back to help replace Lockridge.
