Cal takes its football seriously enough - Jeff Tedford fired

Every time I read that termination statement from Cal, I can't help but think: every time someone mentions that it wasn't about the money you can be sure that it was about the money. :smile2:

Absolutely. Amazing architect of Cal's resurrection but his time there had run its course. Honestly, though, I think a lot of his downfall is due to the conflicts with Tosh along with some of the recruiting risks Tosh took killing Cal's APR (team gpa was supposedly under a 2.0).

I always wondered how their wide acceptance window for athletes didn't hurt their APR. They let in some kids that have no business being at Cal, figured that would catch up with them in grade eligibility.
