Wilty was squatting well over 600.
I agree. Differences I've noticed this year is the extent to which guys are pushing each other and celebrating each other - things just look like they've ratcheted up - and with the actual results we've seen with some before/after of guys where it's obvious by the eyeball test that they've gotten significantly bigger in this S&C program pretty quickly. Not to throw cold water on this, but don’t people get excited every year for how well S&C is going?
Dude, hes been pining for better content for ages but no one seems to be able to branch out. It’s been so long that you have gone from a sapling to an teak.
More tree puns A SAP.Dude, hes been pining for better content for ages but no one seems to be able to branch out.
Same. But when I watch these, my question is - are these specific designated “filmed max” days? Because the lifting sessions look haphazard with a bunch of dudes just walking around not focused on any specific exercise and then a bunch of other dudes standing around watching a guy max out.
They are obviously way stronger and jacked than I could ever imagine being, but from all the athletic performance lifting I’ve seen in my life, it didn’t really look like that.

Love this video.
Boogie. See previous videos.Impressed with Edwards. Btw does he have a nickname yet?
Zilinskas is lifting heavy for a true freshman
Yeah I have to think Shilo is easily S1. Slusher, CSC, and Woods probably competing for S2, which is pretty ridiculous in terms of depth, especially when you add Travis Jay and Tisdale to that mix as well.Quick observations:
- CB 1s = Hunter and Cooper
- CB 2s = McClain and Stoutmire
- S 1s = Sanders and Slusher
- Edwards is built different. Squatting 550 as a 170lb incoming freshman is otherworldly.
- Zilinkas got that Greek Freak blood. That or what we all know to be true: CC and Logan got those good good supplements flowing. It's probably the latter.
- Who da fuq is Harrison and what is St. Ignatius Prep putting in their water?
Harrison is that TE that Brewster has been talking about, right?Quick observations:

They sub out a lot on defense. Travis started at CB at JSU and they would be 4 straight possessions, I don't see him on the fieldYeah I have to think Shilo is easily S1. We seems to have great depth at positions in the S/hybrid LB roles and I think we’re definitely going to see more of a 4-2-5 base defense
A couple things...They sub out a lot on defense. Travis started at CB at JSU and they would be 4 straight possessions, I don't see him on the field
Last year they did. Not in the spring or fall of year 1. They still subbed out a lot, for better or for worse.A couple things...
1. JSU had the players and depth, relative to the rest of the SWAC, to do whatever they wanted for the most part
2. They don't have the luxury of not having Travis on the field in the Pac 12 (plus Travis was hurt most of last year right, so it made sense to ease him in a bit?)
3. Charles Kelly wasn't at JSU
I think early in the season we'll see some consistent rotations at various positions until one or two guys separate themselves and settle in, but I don't see Charles Kelly being OK with a lot of subbing unless he knows everyone can play.
I'm not saying Travis will be part of every defensive possession, but I would expect an O possession, a D possession, OFF, O poss, D poss, OFF, etc, of course entirely depending on how each possession goes. They need to keep him fresh enough to be effective on each side, but they can't make him a part time player.Last year they did. Not in the spring or fall of year 1. We will see.
True, Kelly wasn't the DC, Dennis Thurman was but at the end of this day, this has prime's imprint on it, no matter what.

I think he will play a lot more than he did at JSU just due to the fact that he's healthy but they sub a lotI'm not saying Travis will be part of every defensive possession, but I would expect an O possession, a D possession, OFF, O poss, D poss, OFF, etc, of course entirely depending on how each possession goes. Prime owns Colorado.

Hopefully they start addressing those drills ;-)All the weight room stuff is great. Thing is, what are you gonna do when somebody knocks your dick in the dirt on the field? You either step up or go hide in the corner. That's what I want to see about the players brought in.
I think the post-dick-in-the-dirt-response is specifically what Coach Prime is recruiting for. Did you see those videos about "are you going to be the man when it's time to be the man, or are you just going to talk about being the man?"All the weight room stuff is great. I did not see them, nor did I need to. That's what it's all about, he knows.I think the post-dick-in-the-dirt-response is specifically what Coach Prime is recruiting for.
