College football is back.

Might be the worst D1 QB i've seen in years. He missed THREE open guys on the 4th down play. SC is gonna have a bad year and Kiffin will be gone by years end. Only problem is that the team is so stacked that any decent coach will turn them into a powerhouse overnight.

They don't have the depth to become a powerhouse overnight with a new coach

It's was bit hyperbole, but IMO depth is overrated. CFB is 50/50 coaching vs. talent. With a good system the talent that SC has amassed over the years will be formidable. Yeah they lost some schollies to Reggie Bush, but when you pull in top 3 classes every year then you're bound to be good eventually.

USC's corners are very suspect. Hawaii exposed them.

It may show 30-13 USC, but it was closer than the score indicated.

Yeah but what happens if and when injuries occur on the lines? IMO you need depth and talent and coaching to be a powerhouse, ala modern Alabama.

SIAP but wtf was Chow doing going for it on 4th and 17 on the USC 40 with like 20 seconds left? Idot. USC ended up getting a FG on that to go up by 3 possessions and not 2 at the half.

Also I had nightmares about the Hawaii game. USC was absolutely destroying the Hawaii OL. Graham sucked but still had no time. Hopefully this isn't us

The most important thing that I learned last night was that Ole Miss's pants look very high school. Don't write your name on the side of your pants.

USC has a really good DL, but that can be somewhat mitigated by quick passes. Hawaii was consistently running deep routes and never really adjusted.

Ya I noticed that too. Anytime they showed the replay of a sack, Hawaii had 3 WR's running deep routes. It made no sense

A good night for the Buffs. We didn't lose, and all of our opponents who played (USC, Fresno, Utah) looked mortal.

Sac St. got shut out by... San Jose St.

Made the mistake of crock-potting a pork shoulder butt for green chili while working from home. (Don't worry the real pulled pork goes on the smoker tonight). Now the house smells awesome and I have to focus on work - green chili and football on TV best time of year is here!

KjSU 7 NDSU 7 at the half.

Not quite as bad as us losing to Montana State or Sac State, NDSU is maybe the best program in FCS, but this would be a big blow to the Big Can't Count conference.

Old man Snyder may seem like he will be there forever but you have to wonder how long he still has. KjSU fell like a house of cards last time he stepped aside. How much of their success is Snyder?

Also SMU is in position beat TT but just blew a chance to score.

Not a blown chance to score. The refs ****ed them. Horrible call.

Gladder than **** that we aren't playing ndsu.

Some decent talent but very, very well coached.

Speed and talent of KjSU is starting to have some impact but NDSU keeps making enough plays to stay in it.
