If they really had that staff in place, I think there would be a powerful message to black kids in the south that you can come to an HBCU at a time in our nation's history where it could make a huge statement and a huge difference for the community. You won't play Alabama or Ohio State or USC on a regular basis, but you'll be heavily promoted based upon the coaches we have here, and they all have great ties to the NFL for when it's time to go pro. You could be the trail blazers of a mass movement of great players coming to HBCUs instead of attending schools that are 80-90 percent white making billions of dollars for 80-90 percent old white guys on the back of your talents. Football is king in the south, and you guys could completely turn the power structure on its head.

Not saying it would be an easy pitch. You'd have to convince 17 and 18 year olds to make a really hard choice. But, Deion Sanders has the type of name recognition and personality that he just might be able to make it work.
