I did and was on the receiving end of a blind side block on punt coverage as the play was ending (I was a center, so not small). I was slowing down and next thing I knew I was on my rear. Never saw him and no way I could have defended myself. I never watched the video of it (last playoff game of my senior year) so I have no idea where he came from or if it was clean or how big he was. I do know that no penalty was called.see where I retracted my post before you responded. But if you played football growing up (which I am assuming you did) the bigger guy can easily bull through the guy coming for the blind side block if he sees it coming. Blind side insinuates you can never see them coming which isn't always the case. I've been bulled over by a bigger linebacker coming back to block him being a receiver without trying to use the hands to block, it can certainly happen.
Well there is an exception for blocks against bailer right?Big fan of the blind side block.
As was I. One crackback on me actually concussed me so bad I ended up missing the rest of that game and the next game. Came back for the final game of the regular season and apparently wasn't ready as the first hit I took caused me to be concussed again and miss the playoffs. But I don't really blame it on the block, it was on the corner to call it and he didn't. I think crackbacks should be allowed as they have been but I'm fine with the penalty for blind sides on punt coverage, scrambling QB's and such.I did and was on the receiving end of a blind side block on punt coverage as the play was ending (I was a center, so not small). And yes, I missed your update. Sometimes I get distracted at work with actual work before hitting the post button.
Somebody ear hole you or what? The ones you don't see coming are the worst. The slant was, by far, my favorite route. You'd think that's where you'd get lit up, never did. Other routes, oh yeah. As far as a crackback, I had it happen when I was a kid. Nothing beyond that on D, except for one. Worst I ever had was probably being a gunner on punt. Dude cheated up before the snap and I didn't see him do it. I'm running down, looking for the punt, that ****er hit me right in the side of the head. Holy ****, I was spun. I don't even remember it happening outside of seeing it. That **** was embarrassing .As was I. Haha yeah just got earholed. Toss outside, slot comes to crackback on my high school teams version of the "Star" position (which was me) saw it a thousand times on film so I should have known. Just put his shoulder pad into my helmet and on film it looked like I died I was so still on the ground.Somebody ear hole you or what? The ones you don't see coming are the worst. Special teams can get you ****ed up pretty quickly. I've said for a long ass time, returning punts was the hardest thing I did in football. I always thought kick returns were easier, more time, unless it was a ****ty kicker or he squibbed it.My only conclusion was on a punt return blindside

Most if not all crackback blocks are blind side blocks, thus would be illegal.Read my last sentence from this post.
What was CU's deal with Nike a year or so ago? How does KU get one of the more lucrative deals in the country?

Good point. I always seem to forget that KU is actually relevant because of basketball.Basketball blue blood, it's good to be king. Basturds
Worth every penny. Creates family. Special cat.
A big part of why he's been so successful is that he keeps his staff paid and happy and none of them care to leave. He has a unicorn situation where his DC is the best in the country and either sucks balls in interviews or just doesn't really want to be a HC.The Swinney contract keeps him there or makes Alabama pay through the nose to hire him away. Smart move on Clemson’s part, IMO.
Sucks for everybody else in college football, though. I wonder how long it will be until we start seeing a Dabo Swinney coaching tree start to grow.
