College Football October 17th

Bo played man. Silly.
Rush 3, drop 8. Picket fence. Jimmy Lake developed blueprint. SEC adopting it.
Just as I mentioned above, aTm doing that today and killing Miss State with it.
Using only 3 DL rushing they have 4 sacks in the first half. The wide splits give the D-linemen room to work and if they beat their man they have open space to the QB.

When they do get the pass off Miss State is averaging 4.2 ypa and Costello is getting hit a lot.

QB Devin Leary for NC State carted off the field with an ankle injury.

Costello benched for a true freshman

Looking at A&M's schedule there's a decent possibility they run the table the rest of the way and finish with just the 1 loss to Bama

So Trevor Lawrence is average too?

I'm not sure how you connect a post about QB play at Alabama and Georgia to him. Lawrence is the best player in college football and there's nobody really close that's playing right now. I say that fully expecting Justin Fields to light Nebraska's defense up like a ****ing Christmas tree next Saturday morning.

Rumor online that Auburn AD talked to Urban Meyer today - I don't really believe that rumor, but the seat is going to get hot for Gus

If Auburn is talking to Urb, they're discussing somebody else. He's not dumb enough to take a job in the SEC West.

You said he benefitted by having so much talent at the skill positions. Which is exactly what Trevor has. And no I certainly don't think Trevor is an average QB.

Watch the two play. I look at Lawrence and see a franchise QB. I look at Jones and see a day 3 draft pick.

Completely agree that Trevor is a transcendent talent and would be a top 10 NFL QB right now. And I would put Jones as a day 2 pick but all that aside Jones is much better than an average college QB.

This result is great news for the Pac 12's odds at the CFP. Need North Carolina and Notre Dame to lose to people they shouldnt.

These ND/UNC results right now don't really matter much because the only way the ACC gets 2 teams in is if a 1-loss team upsets an undefeated Clemson in the CCG. Then a 1-loss champion with a win over Clemson gets in plus Clemson would still get in having built up enough equity to withstand a loss in the CCG. Obviously 2 losses by ND or UNC would eliminate either one.
